Reception
Starting School in September 2027 - Online applications will be accepted from 1st September 2026 until the 15th January 2027 for admission to Reception Classes starting in September 2027.
Secondary School
Children born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016 will be transferring from their primary school to a secondary school in September 2027.

Nursery admissions
Nursery admissions are dealt with by the school. Children can take up a free, part-time place in the nursery in the September after their third birthday but cannot be admitted before the school year in which they reach the age of four. For starting in the Orchard Primary School Nursery from September 2026, for children born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023, please see below.
Applying for The Orchard Primary School Nursery
Nursery admissions are managed by individual schools with applications available from January 2026. Parents applying for a place at The Orchard Primary School nursery should complete a nursery application form, which can be downloaded from the London Borough of Hounslow website or email admissions@tops.hounslow.sch.uk to request one. Completed application forms can then either be emailed to admissions@tops.hounslow.sch.uk or given in at the school office. Please ensure they are accompanied with a copy of a birth certificate and a current council tax bill (which is in the applicant’s name).

Please be aware that education in a school nursery is not compulsory, and it may not be possible for every parent to secure a place in a school nursery for their child. Therefore, parents whose child already has a place at a private day nursery or playgroup may prefer to keep their child in the provision where they are settled, until the child starts Reception in the following September.
Primary school admissions
Parents of children born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023 must apply for a reception place for September 2027. All applications must be received by 15 January 2027. Click here for Primary Admission Information
Secondary School Transfer
Children born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016 will be transferring from their primary school to a secondary school in September 2027. Online applications open on 1st September 2026. The closing date for applications is 31 October 2026.
